Belly up

Category: Life

So, last night I’m at game 1 of the Major League Baseball World Series when a 70ish year-old fellow says regarding me, “he looks like he’s about to go belly up.” To which I think, “thank you, you made the blog.

A drunk girl really liked my poppy tattoo, that’s always fun. I get compliments from sober people too, but the drunk people are special.

Your blog consistently takes my breath away. Who knew that there were so many different ways to be awed, both good and bad?

I wonder sometimes how many witty comebacks you have that you just can’t readily express to people.

    the drunk people are special
    Yes 🙂

I’ve thought about doing a blog entry of thoughts I never actually say. I do miss the quick joke, but sometimes I’m probably better off quiet.

Hey there, again. Mind if I hide out on your blog? I’m taking a brief hiatus from where people can find me. 😉

Do you like hot chocolate? If so, have you tried the ones they’re highlighting at Starbucks? They’re quite tasty. In fact, I think I’m going to go get one RIGHT NOW. The salted caramel is yumminess.

Hang in there! Like the kitten on the poster.

That is how I look at things.

Oh, I agree. It’s all about documenting our brief existences. Every trip, every interaction holds the kernels of something great! …to blog about.

Like right now at Starbucks, some guy cut in front of me in line. And then, AFTER he placed his order, he turned to me and asked, “Oh, were you next?” And I replied, “I THOUGHT I was.” The look of embarassment was worth waiting a few minutes more to get my hot chocolate.

*is not serious. Okay, maybe she is*

Orm, I know exactly what you mean. I think of just about any experience as potential fuel for writing… something. Anything.

As well you should, my good man!

You see? We creative types have so much in common. 😀
