If I’m boring
A reader recently was good enough to write:
I’m unsubscribing your feed as your blogs have become boring and lethargic. I understand your predicament, but if you are going to blog, please make it worth your readers time.
If I’m boring, quit reading. I’m not trying to be boring, I’ll quit eventually, I’m sure. Still, if you can’t stand me anymore, go ahead and unsubscribe my RSS or do whatever you have to do.

Ass. I’m so irate I can’t even form a witty rejoinder to this idiocy.
Yeah world, mold yourself to my whims so that I may be entertained! Or I will complain to your manager and unsubscribe.
Ass.
Hey man, life is a process. It’s not worth reading the ups without the downs. It’s not real. This shit is not an after school special. Can’t feel without the numb, can’t bleed without the cut. You can’t have the black without the blue.
I don’t know you, personally, but i feel we’re very much alike. That’s why I read you. And i feel like you’ve turned a corner. So stay with it. Post some pure shit. It’s cliché, but there’s nowhere to go from the bottom but up.
Wow, what a dick! They invented Jersey Shore for a reason, to entertain the whiny douche bags of the world, like that guy. Remember, it can’t rain all the time.
that person’s behavior reminded me of a recent post on The Oatmeal. I’m wondering if it’s the same guy. http://theoatmeal.com/misc/p/facebook_douche
oh, and another thing: look, Phil (I’m assuming you’re also the person who posted the message about unsubscribing), if you’re so effing bored, why not go ahead and write your own inspirational claptrap? yes, everyone has their ups and downs, but being judgmental about someone’s posting habits and general state of mind ain’t exactly going to make the ups come any faster. and why would anyone write to what someone else decides is “pure?” what the deuce does that even mean? “cheerful?” “uplifting?” that isn’t representative of life, either, friend. finally, saying that you “understand your predicament” is a little insulting, frankly, and strikes me as a way to invalidate someone else’s real–like, actual–experience of life because it doesn’t match your overly simplistic expectations. thumbs down, man.
whoops! sorry, Phil. I was totally reading your post as *not* supportive… and, after being an adult and reading it through again, I realize that I was wrong. I meant my comment for whoever posted the note about unsubscribing. Lesson: I, apparently, am the asshat du jour.
@clare – whew, I’m glad you saw the tone I was going for! I’m totally supporting here! Very good points for the UNsupportive douche though. I appreciate your passion. Hopefully, he’s been lazy in his unsubscription and actually read this post.
Arrogant people, there are tons of it all around the world. But the point is that he didn’t realize that the blog is yours, so you write whatever you want and whatever you feel you should write.
You are ANYTHING but boring!!! Dude, I love EVERYTHING you have to say.
