I know this is kind of stupid to say, but reader comments really are valuable. They let me know if I’m writing anything worth reading, which is always the goal, though definitely not always the result. Comments really do help, they make this place better. So, let me know what you’re thinking.

Shall I comment more, Michael? I could comment on everything, but I don’t wanna hijack your blog :p
i like the new format of the blog. font/size is nice. i actually liked the interim format as well and didn’t think it was too “tumblr”.
as for your content, keep it flowing. keep it coming.
I never comment, but I do read. I will try to be better about having productive things to say. Thank you for posting, anyway.
mike, i don’t think you are so tough. we are all dealt the hand we are given in this life: so what? deal with it. be thankful that such HUGE resources were dedicated to keeping your ass alive. under any obamacare-style healthcare rationing you wouldn’t have the shelf-life of a hard-boiled egg. quit wallowing in self pity and live your fucking life til you die
WTF archaeopteryx? If you were a true reader of Michael’s blog, you would realize that he is just expressing emotions in written form, and quite beautifully I might add. It is not like he can go hit a punching bag or take a long walk by himself to come to terms with his emotions. You are ignorant. I have never once known of Michael looking for pity from others, if he experiences it personally at times it just confims he is human being with a heart and emotions. Btw, he states many time his gratefulness to those who care for him and the technology available to him. Again, you are an ignorant dipshit.
I just caught your story on this American Life. I’m sure you must get this all the time but you are an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I found you and your blog through TAL like a lot of people. Obviously I think your writing is worth reading. I don’t like to comment on the internet because usually the comments section is just where people attack each other, or the writer, as seen above.
I’ll say I prefer when your autobiographical writing to your fiction.
I can’t say I like you or think you are an inpiration as I don’t know anything about you other than this blog and TAL.
I do wish you well and I hope you’re having a good evening.
amanda: Thank you for not liking me. :-p
