Writer’s block is the worst, take some time, and something will inspire you.
stop bitching and moaning and start writing!
teresa: Wow, thank you! Your advice is.. amazing.
Write a story about a man who can’t stop flying even though he wants to.
It’s amazing how writing can come and go like an elusive cold. Some days you’re literally overflowing with words – other days you can’t blow your nose to save your life.
Victoria Nelson (psychologist, autor of “On Writer’s Block”) says it takes seven years to find your style. Blocks actually – by their anatomy – show us precisely what we need, to progress and write. As for “nothing” – that’s where we have to get, to write something. These are not platitudes. We have to get to empty – whether meditatively, or in the sense of ideas and inspiration – or all of these – before we can fill up with the truth, and witness it in our writing. The story will always tell us how it needs to be told.
You write awesome things all the time. Maybe try going back to some of the great writings you’ve done in the past and re-read them? Choose your favorites. Take a break from expectation!
