Open mic tomorrow
So, it’s open mic again tomorrow, and I’m running out of old stuff to read. I want to write something new, something really worth reading, but I’m just kind of stuck lately. Sometimes the words are so easy, just so right there, and other times they’re just not. I’m a fellow in need of inspiration.

i feel you. i wrote 9/10ths of a novel in 6 months, 3 years ago and haven’t touched it since. sometimes the muse, she smiles, other times – just snarls.
You write about how I almost lit you on fire. GO
Watch all three performances… the first is just a warm up. The second and third should leave you speechless and inspired.
I’ve always been insomniac and no matter how tired always am more alert between 11 and 1 am. For most of my 30s my hours to sleep were 5 am to noon. Being self-employed was a choice for my natural schedule and has worked, but even w/two small kids, I’m still inclined to stay up too late.
My advice: read stuff you would NEVER read at other times of day. Have you read the late Victorian poets? Great rhymes, dark topics, exciting writing. Algernon Swinburne is the one to start with. Dolores is a great poem. Here’s a link:http://www.victorianweb.org/authors/swinburne/dolores.html
I also enjoyed Buzz Aldrin’s post moon-landing memoir: Magnificent Desolation. His description of being ON the moon was mesmerizing. Good luck sweetie….
Ooopss.. I forgot the links:
Watch all three… parts 2 and 3 of the first video are jaw dropping.
