Better late than…
So, I’m a little late on this, but I wanted to write about it anyway. As it turns out, and I’m quite surprised, Iron Man was pretty spectacular. I expected it to be a ridiculous CGI nightmare, but no, the film was solid. I guess I underestimated the fact that Robert Downey Jr. is a total badass. Sara and I went to see it at the drive-in, which also tends to make any movie just a little bit better.

Hey, I liked Indiana Jones but didn’t like Ironman, but oh well.
Also, I saw you on This American Life and you seem like a really cool guy.
Hi
I just discovered the Showtime series “American Life”. And I discovered you as well. I really enjoyed learning about how you are getting the most out of Life. When I finished watching I looked up your blog. Yay! I found it. Now I will check out your site and see where all your tatoos are located and stuff.
FYI, I am female. My age is thirty-ten. I will never be any older. Thirty-ten forever. I play Eve-Online MMORPG. So there ya go.

I loved Iron Man. It is the best movie based on a comic book character I have ever seen. I enjoyed the realism of the the story being in present time instead of a long long time ago or “in the distant future”
You’re definitely right, eco, Spider Man pales in comparison.

Hey, Mike – just saw you on TAL and am psyched about getting to talk to you. I picked this post because I’ve seen Iron Man three times; he was my favorite comic book character growing up, and you’re right, the movie was awesome. I think I had the same reaction you did to Indy 4, too: I wanted to like it, but I didn’t.
Anyway, you’re in my RSS feed now, and you may have even inspired me to pick up blogging again. Looking forward to your next post.
