i’m fucking jealous of all your tattoos. i have 4 and am always thinking of new ideas just gotta get the funds. i would love to get a kurt on someday too. i probably wont get a portrait because i don’t think i’ll ever trust an artist enough for that. though it would be awesome.

Well, in general, Nirvana always just makes me happy. Those images in particular are from their MTV Unplugged performance. Kurt’s singing Plateau, no guitar, just slowly kind of rocking back and forward, swiveling in his chair with his eyes closed. It’s like part of him is somewhere else, he looks so peaceful. Whenever I’m really nervous and I have to calm down I think about that video.

I vote for plateau1. It seems to have that feeling that Cobain inbued. Hair across his face. He’s looking down and the microphone next to him is equally important.
p.s.– I watched season2 episode1 of This American Life last night and I just love your story. You are a bad-ass. I’m extremely jealous you got to see Radiohead, too. They are coming to Lollapalooza here in Chicago this summer, but it will be crowded, outdoors and pathetic, so I’m not going. How was the show?

I love Kurt, the thing I remember most about him was his eyes. None of these show that, but of the ones posed I would vote #1
Kurt Cobain often wore a t-shirt with Daniel Johnston’s “Hi, How Are You?” frog, which could add to your tattoo’s meanings. I was hoping it was in ‘plateau4’ but that looks like a Frightwig shirt.
