Slumdog Millionaire
So, aside from knowing that it was directed by Danny Boyle, and that he’s a genius, I had absolutely no idea what to expect from Slumdog Millionaire. I had no idea it was set in India, no idea that it involved the Hindi version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, I had no idea about anything. I’m glad I didn’t know anything about the film, or else I wouldn’t have been so spectacularly surprised. It’s such a beautifully compelling love story, and so much more. It’s definitely a must see.
I’m going to write something more full after I see it again. I wasn’t watching it in the right frame of mind to write a proper review. My mind was a little bit somewhere else, with someone else.

I felt the same way. I really knew nothing about this movie before I saw it. I thought it was fantastic.
I have heard so many comments about this movie over the weekend, and from a variety of people whose theatrical tastes don’t tend to overlap. I think I’m intrigued enough to venture into the theatre to see it.
All of my friends have been raving about this movie. I’ve seen it more than once on my blog feed this week. I guess it is time to go check it out!
Yah, it was another brilliant film by Boyle. I just bought the soundtrack the other day.
TBH though… I much preferred ” The Wrestler”. I really really hope it wins best picture at the oscars this year. I think I might even watch the oscars this year just to root for it. I’ve seen it 4 times now, and it just gets better and better every time.
